“everyone learns differently”

We recognise that everyone learns differently and that, when undergoing flying training, pilots are pilots and not academics.

Basic mathematical skills are of course required, but techniques can be learned and practised.

Our lessons are primarily discussions based around PowerPoint presentations and Pooley's Aviation Academy which cover the entire syllabi, and we provide our students with PDF hand-outs before the course that they can print out and work through during the lessons. At the end of each session, we provide an in-house Progress Test to ensure understanding before moving onto the next phase of the course, and when the students are ready, we schedule exams as soon as possible after, often in the evenings.

We can’t hide the fact that there is an enormous volume of diverse information, knowledge and practical application required to operate aircraft effectively and safely that you need to know but it is our mission to mentor you through this process in the most proficient, effective, and even fun, manner.
