Most newly qualified pilots want to continue to develop their flying skills and confidence post PPL.
Our highly experienced team will mentor and provide tailor-made post-PPL advanced skills courses either in your own aircraft or, if you prefer, in our superb and modern DA40TDi and NG aircraft equipped with full Garmin G1000 glass cockpits, on-screen checklists and fully coupled autopilots.

Our instructors are ex RAF fast-jet and airline Training Pilots, who will enjoy teaching you to think, plan and fly like a pro in sleek and capable aircraft.
Learning in the DA20 and DA40 Next Generation aeroplanes provides a seamless onward transition to the twin engine 5-seat DA42 or 7-seat DA62 and even the incredible DA50 single, all of which are designed to provide you and your family and friends fast, comfortable and safe travel to explore further afield much more effortlessly than with the older more traditional aircraft types.
You will be taught initially to fly the aircraft manually so you can master all the basic disciplines of flying - take offs and landings, stalling, steep turns, circuits etc, before moving on to advanced techniques of navigation and landing away from base. You'll be instructed in the use and management of the Garmin Aera760/G650 in the Katana, or the beautifully integrated Garmin G1000 avionics systems in the DA40s which you'll be delighted to find will considerably ease your workload and enjoyment when you learn to use them to simplify your exploration of more interesting and more distant destinations, and work through poor weather and at night!
Helicopter Pilots please note!
One of our most exciting offerings is for helicopter pilots who want to explore the opportunities of having both helicopter and aeroplane licences to allow the best of both worlds!
You are perfectly placed to train with us and explore the endless possibilities that each type offers - landing in helicopters at hotels for lunch and overnight stays, or flying to the south of France or further afield in the comfort of the various Diamond aircraft types - truly the best of both worlds and at a fraction of the cost of helicopters and at faster speeds! You'll find our conversion course from helis to aeroplanes again seamless, quickly taking you through the 5 aeroplane differences ground exams, and onwards through the reduced PPL(A) course - 39 hours instead of the normal 45 - and beyond through instrument and night courses followed by seamless conversion to twin engines for the more adventurous of you.
